MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - One of the suspects that was allegedly involved in the shooting death of a 27-year-old man in 2014 has been indicted on a capital murder charge.
Fredrick Shermain Simmons, 22, was indicted on a capital murder charge for his alleged involvement in the shooting death of 27-year-old Nathan Dasher.
The shooting happened in the early morning on June 24, 2014 in the 2500 block of Highland Avenue. Officers located Dasher at the scene where he was pronounced dead. Court records show Dasher was robbed and shot.
Rodrick Bagby, 17, and an unidentified juvenile were also taken into custody and charged with capital murder for their alleged involvement in the homicide.
Dasher was the city's 12th homicide victim of 2014.
