DOTHAN, AL (WSFA) -

The Dothan Police Department arrested a man who they say stole thousands of dollars worth of equipment from his place of work.

Police arrested 52-year-old John Floyd Denson for allegedly stealing over $3,500 worth of tools and equipment from Wayne Farms in Dothan.

It was also discovered that Denson stole nearly $3,000 worth of chain link fencing for a family member, which he used the company's account to purchase.

The investigation was conducted after the company's security division received information that Denson was stealing from the plant.

Denson is being charged with two counts of first degree theft of property, and is being held on bond set at $30,000.

Police are asking that if anyone has purchased tools from Denson within the last year to call 334-615-3000.
