Sheriff: Auburn football player arrested in Henry County

Henry County Sheriff William Maddox confirmed the arrest of an Auburn football player Friday night.

Maddox says Jonathon Mincy has been charged with second degree possession of marijuana.

Mincy is currently a defensive back for the Tigers. In the 2013 football season, he recorded 56 tackles.

According to the sheriff, Mincy was a passenger in a vehicle going 92 mph in a 65 mph speed zone.

Mincy was the only person in the vehicle arrested. He has been released on $3,000 bond.
