STEVENSON, AL (WAFF) -

A Jackson County Jail inmate walked away from work detail Tuesday.

Nathan Thomas Clark left work detail at Stevenson City Park, where he was working with the city Parks & Recreation Department. A search of the park and surrounding area found no signs of Clark.

By 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, when Clark had not returned to the Jackson County Jail, an arrest warrant was issued for second-degree escape.

Nathan Thomas Clark is 38 years old, 6' tall, weighing approximately 165 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing orange jail clothing.

He is not considered dangerous, but anyone who sees him is advised not to approach him, and should contact the Jackson County Sheriff's Office or local police immediately.
