Johnson City Police say there were dispatched to the parking lot of Old Navy around 8:13 p.m. Tuesday night to check on the juveniles.

When they got there, an officer noticed they juveniles were left inside a white SUV by themselves.

One of the children said they were left in the vehicle since they arrived at the store.

Upon further investigation, Police determined that the kids had been left in the SUV for an estimated 1.5 to 2 hours.

Officers eventually caught up with the mother, 34-year-old Stacey L. Barrett, inside Old Navy.
