MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

A new season of the show "The Season with Justin Martin" will start this weekend on The Sportsman channel.

The show, which follows professional archer Justin Martin of Enterprise, will feature Martin and his friends as they travel the county on some of the coolest adventures of the year. The first episode of the season airs on Sunday at 6:30 p.m.

Martin and his friends will be hunting some of the country's most popular game, including elk, antelope, ducks and deer, while also trying some new adventures along the way.

Martin, 35, has been hunting since the age of 10, and has won many archery awards during that time.

In 1998, Martin won the ASA Open A Shooter of the Year title, which is awarded to the top amateur archer in the country.

In 1999, Martin turned pro and began competing in archery tournaments on the professional level.

Then in 2001, Martin won the IBO Male Pro Shooter of the Year title, and in 2003 he won the Buckmaster's World Championship, considered by many to be the top title in archery.

Martin thinks that his show will be different than other hunting shows, because viewers will be able to relate to him.

"Too many people see the pro hunters on TV today and don't really relate to them because the guy watching TV doesn't get to hunt every day, all day or get to go to some of the remote locations that these guys do," Martin said. "I want to use my platform as an accomplished archer to show the guys and girls watching my show that I have a real job, real life and real responsibilities; just like they do. Along the way, we will get to hunt some really cool places and have a lot of fun all while taking care of business and family at home."

Some of Martin's professional accomplishments include:

2001 IBO Male Pro Shooter of the Year

2003 Buckmaster's World Champion

2005 second place Buckmaster's World Champion

2007 second place Buckmaster's World Champion

Martin still competes in national events each year and is a consistent top finisher in the Open Pro Class.

Martin's accomplishments do not only apply to archery as he was a kicker at Auburn University after having an amazing high school career. He still holds several state and school records for kicking. Martin is also a successful homebuilder in Enterprise.
