Two-vehicle motorcycle accident in Lowndes Co leaves 2 dead

LOWNDES CO., AL (WSFA) -

A two-vehicle crash in Lowndes County on Saturday claimed the lives of two individuals.

Alabama State Troopers say that 21-year-old Jeffery Sawyer of Greenville and 13-year-old Zackary Smith of Greenville were both killed when the motorcycles they were operating collided.

The crash occurred at 10:15 p.m. on Goldsmith Road, which is five miles north of Whitehall in Lowndes County.

State Troopers say that helmets were not being used at the time of the crash.

That is all the information that is available at this time as State Troopers continue to investigate.
