Greenville to expand local industry, add jobs

GREENVILLE, AL (WSFA) -

Monday morning, WSFA 12 News reporter Melissa Johnson headed to Butler County to continue her Hometown Spotlight Series. This week, she featured the Camellia City, Greenville.

Mayor Dexter McLendon announced on Today in Alabama that the city will soon be expanding some local industries and adding jobs to the community.

Mayor McLendon says he cannot say specifically which industries are expanding but should be able to announce it later in the week. He did say, however, that the expansion could bring in around 150 to 200 jobs to the area.

Melissa Johnson will be LIVE next Monday to feature the next Hometown Spotlight.

Look for the details on where she will be on-air and online.
