MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

The outdoors retailer Gander Mountain announced Tuesday it's expanding with a new store this fall in Montgomery.

The store will be located near Home Depot in the former Sports Authority location in the Promenade Montgomery North shopping center south of Interstate 85 on Eastern Boulevard.

"We appreciate the warm welcome we have received from the people in Montgomery and look forward to the grand opening of our eighth Alabama store in the fall," said Eric Jacobsen, Gander Mountain's Executive Vice President and Director of Real Estate, in a news release.

The store will feature new and used firearms along with hunting, fishing, camping, boating and archery equipment. It will also have men's and women's apparel.
