MOBILE, AL (WSFA) -

Alabama State Troopers say a 2-vehicle crash has claimed the life of a Theodore man.

According to news release, 67-year-old John Richard Uhlrich was killed when he was struck by a vehicle while changing the tire on his disabled 202 Chevrolet Van. The Driver 18-year-old Tristen Lyod Thrasher of Saraland struck Uhlrich in a 2003 Mitsubishi Galant.

The crash occurred around 3:15 p.m. Tuesday on Schillinger Road, 1.7 miles west of Mobile. 

Nothing further is available while troopers continue the investigation.
