TROY, AL (WSFA) -

The Troy Trojans are starting the season on the road in Birmingham, but some major upgrades are ready for fans when they return to Veterans Memorial Stadium next week.

The university along with Daktronics announced on July 10 that major audio and visual upgrades would be installed prior to the 2014 football season.

Daktronics installed a state-of-the-art audio system, along with a video board in the southeast corner of Veterans Memorial Stadium. They also installed two 100-yard ribbon displays to go along both upper decks.

The display board in the stadium is twice as large as the one in Trojan Arena. It is capable of providing a large image to highlight live video and instant replays, and can be divided into separate windows to show a variety of vivid graphics , up to the minute statistics, scoring information, sponsor advertisements and colorful animations.
