SANDUSKY, OH (WOIO) -

Cedar Point amusement park has fallen in line with much of Northeastern Ohio in courting LeBron James to return to the Cavaliers.

The park's CEO offered to rename one of its roller coasters after LeBron James if James once again plays basketball for Cleveland.

So when The Decision II came down today around 12:30, we all found out LeBron was coming home.

Cedar Point's spokesperson sent the following statement:

"Over the past few days it has been fun to watch the excitement surrounding the potential and now realized, return of LeBron James to Cleveland. We stand ready to honor our original tweet. Congratulations Cleveland!"

Edwards said he was surprised by the offer.

"We thought he was joking but he was serious," said Edwards.

The offer was made Wednesday during a tweet that read:

"Hey King James, come back to the Cavs and we'll rename one of our coasters King James, ball in your court sir."

Personnel at the park also wanted to remind James about how nice the area is.

"We want to remind LeBron of all the awesome things we have here," said one employee.

James has yet to respond to the offer.

The next step would be to decide which coaster should be re-named. You can let us know on our Facebook page
