SPRING, TX (KPRC/CNN) - The Texas teenager who was the only survivor of a shooting that killed her parents and four siblings is thanking her community.

Cassidy Stay, 15, joined friends and neighbors at a memorial in Spring Saturday morning.

Balloons were released for the six victims of Wednesday's shooting.

The teen spoke to the crowd, quoting an inspirational saying from Harry Potter.

"In 'The Prisoner of Azkaban,' Dumbledore says 'Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.' I know that my mom, dad, Bryan, Emily, Becca and Zach are in a much better place and that I'll be able to see them again one day. Thank you all for coming and showing your support for me and my family. Stay strong," Stay said.

Ronald Lee Haskell is accused of shooting Cassidy's parents and siblings, "execution style."

He is charged with capital murder.

Stay suffered a skull fracture and lost part of a finger in the shooting.

She says she survived by playing dead, and then called 911 after the gunman left.
