MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

The Southern League All-Star Game is coming back to Montgomery, says officials with the Montgomery Biscuits and the City of Montgomery.

The game, which was last played in Montgomery back in 2006, will take place at Riverwalk Stadium in 2015.

Biscuits Owner Sherrie Myers and Mayor Todd Strange announced the plans for the game to be played on June 23, 2015. The All-Star Festivities will begin on Monday, June 22 downtown  with the actual game taking place the following night.

"The City works closely with the Biscuits ownership to meet the entertainment needs of families across the River Region as well as visitors. This event will be sure to showcase all that the Capital of Dreams has to offer," Montgomery Mayor Todd Strange said.

"We're excited to showcase how much Montgomery has grown since we last had the game in 2006", said Biscuits General Manager Scott Trible.

Ticket information will be made available once the 2014 season concludes, but the Biscuits did announce that fans who purchase 2015 season tickets will have special priority privileges.

Mobile was originally supposed to host the 2015 games but passed on the opportunity.
