PRATTVILLE, AL (WSFA) -

The Prattville Police Department and Central Alabama CrimeStoppers is asking for the public's help in identifying and locating multiple armed robbers.

CrimeStoppers Development Director Tony Garrett says multiple shoppers were robbed at gun point outside the Hibbett's Sports retail store in Prattville around 3:30 in the morning of July 4.

The shoppers were waiting in line for an Air Jordan Basketball Shoe release when victims described a gold or tan colored passenger car, possibly a Honda Accord or Toyota Camry, driving up with four or five unknown males in the vehicle.

Four of the suspects got out of the vehicle, armed with handguns, but only two covered their faces with masks. After stealing money, phones, and clothing from the victims, the suspects fled the scene traveling toward Interstate 65.

A second vehicle may have been involved, as video surveillance captured a gold or tan colored SUV, possibly a Toyota Sequoia, leaving the area at a high rate of speed moments after the robbery. Investigators would like to speak to the owner and occupants of that vehicle to ascertain their involvement as witnesses or accomplices.

If you can identify or know the whereabouts of these subjects, please call the police immediately or CrimeStoppers at 215-STOP. Your Tip may lead to a cash reward!
