WETUMPKA, AL (WSFA) -

It's the chance of a lifetime and something most high school athletes look forward to their senior year. For one local high school football player from Wetumpka, this opportunity came Friday.

Brandon Kennedy, the number 1 ranked center in the country, had to make the choice between some of the best schools in the country: Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Mizzou and Ole Miss.  When it came down to it, Alabama was the only choice.

"It was the atmosphere, rooming with the players and spending time with them. I just felt like I was at home at Alabama. Alabama had a little bit more of an edge. Coach Saban thought that Alabama would be a great home for me, a great fit ." Kennedy says
