DOTHAN, AL (WSFA) -

Most suspects of a crime seek to get as far away from the crime scene as possible, but that doesn't appear to be the case for an alleged criminal in Dothan.

Police say a home was burglarized in the 1100 block of South Andrews Street on July 16. Someone took multiple items from the home.

Investigators say it didn't take long for them to develop and arrest a suspect, now identified as 49-year-old Dothan resident James Edward Reynolds.

Reynolds was taken into custody after allegedly attempting to sell the stolen items in the same neighborhood, including to the victim's neighbor.

He's now charged with burglary and receiving stolen property.

Reynolds is being held on a bond of $30,000.
