Call 11 for Action: Perrysburg man spends thousands, sees no progress on garage

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Weeks after he shelled out thousands of dollars for a freestanding garage, Perrysburg resident Lynn Hankins was left with only a large trench in his back yard. So he called the Ohio Attorney General and the Call 11 for Action Office.

This may seem like a run of the mill contractor rip off scam – but it's not.

Hankins thought he was doing everything right – even checking with the Better Business Bureau and other sources before hiring the contractor. But it turns out the contractor the thought he was hiring actually had no idea the project was happening.

Find out what steps you need to take to avoid falling into the same trap – Tuesday at 11 on WTOL 11.
