Police expect man shot multiple times on St. Gerard Ave. to survive

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

A man who was shot late Monday night is expected to survive, despite suffering multiple gunshot wounds.

The Baton Rouge Police Department said the shooting happened on St. Gerard Avenue at McClelland Drive. The victim’s name was not released, but investigators reported he is 23 years old.

Capt. Ronald Norman with BRPD said officers were called out to the LSU Urgent Care Clinic on Airline Highway around 11 p.m. after the gunshot victim arrived at that location. He was shot in both his upper and lower torso.
