(RNN) - One of the best ways to promote something is to have someone publicly protest it. Kim Jong-un has not learned this.

North Korea's supreme leader and The Onion's 2012 Sexiest Man Alive is quite upset about a video making the rounds. A YouTube viral hit out of China features Kim's head pasted to several clips of people dancing and breaking out karate moves.

Kim does a dance, and his pants fall down. Kim does "the Carlton." Kim gets knocked down - several times - by Barack Obama. The video had 2.7 million views Thursday.

North Korea finds none of that funny.

A report from Chosun Ilbo, a national daily news outlet in the country, said government officials asked China to remove the video. They believed the 3 1/2-minute clip "seriously compromises Kim's dignity and authority."

Go ahead and throw irony in the category of "Things The Officials Don't Get," too.

This is the second time in recent weeks leaders in Pyongyang lashed out at a satire of Kim. The Seth Rogen-James Franco movie The Interview, due out in October, is about two journalists who get an interview with the supreme leader and are tasked with killing him.

A foreign ministry spokesman told North Korea's official KCNA news agency June 26 that it was the work of "gangster moviemakers," according to the Agence France-Presse.

"The act of making and screening such a movie that portrays an attack on our top leadership ... is a most wanton act of terror and act of war, and is absolutely intolerable," the spokesman said.

Another spokesman said Kim probably would watch the movie anyway.

"I hope he likes it!" Rogen replied on Twitter.
