MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Myrtle Beach Police responded to a call in reference to an assault early Friday morning where three men assaulted and robbed a victim who was walking back to his resort from a bar on South Kings Highway.
According to the police report, the victim left a bar at 2 a.m. Friday to walk back to the Polynesian Resort in Myrtle Beach.
The victim said that three black men between the ages of 20 and 30 approached him and asked him for a light. After he was asked for a light, one of the suspects hit him from behind.
According to the police report, the three suspects started to beat on him.
The victim said that the suspects took his wallet that carried his driver's license, insurance card, social security card, cash, and a credit card.
The victim's wife found him at 3 a.m. with his right eye swollen shut and a large gash between the victim's eye and his temple.
According to the police report, the victim has a possible detached retina and a possible broken nose.
One suspect is described as a tall man over 6 feet tall.
The other two suspects were between 5 feet, 6 inches and 5 feet, 8 inches.
