A fugitive who was captured in south Alabama Friday is now awaiting extradition back to Rhode Island to face multiple charges of sex crimes against a child.

The Ozark Police Department says it found 34-year-old Bruce Lee Kenyon in a local motel room after being contacted by law enforcement in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.

Pawtucket authorities wanted the suspect on five counts of child molestation in the first and second degrees.

The Ozark Police Department's Special Operations Group was activated to invest after learning that the man may be in the area. A tactical operation was planned at the motel and Kenyon was taken into custody without incident.

Kenyon is being held at the Dale County Jail.
