ISLE OF PALMS, SC (WCSC) -

Charleston County Parks and Recreation is asking for the public's help after discovering one of their lifeguard stands "ran away" over the weekend.

Parks and rec officials released a flyer on their social media platforms Wednesday morning stating an 8-foot tall, 300 pound lifeguard stand and sign went missing early Sunday from Isle of Palms County Park.

"If a stray lifeguard stand chained to a no swimming sign showed up at your house early Sunday morning, please let us know," the flyer reads. "No questions asked. We'd just like our chair back.

"They're not cheap, and our lifeguards are sad."

According to CCPRC's Twitter account, they were able to follow the stand's tracks in the sand to 21st Avenue.

"We're missing him (her?) terribly," the account tweeted out.

If you have any information on this missing lifeguard stand and sign, call 843-886-3863.
