Dispatch: Shooting confirmed at Greenville County apartment complex

Greenville County dispatch confirmed a shooting at the Crestwood Forest Drive apartments on Saturday night.

Dispatchers said the call came in just after 8 p.m. They said one man was shot in the leg and taken to the hospital. He was released later that night. 

Witnesses told deputies the shooter was between 25 and 30 years old, about 6' and 240 pounds. They said he had been wearing a yellow shirt and blue shorts. He has not been identified by investigators. 

Deputies are not sure what prompted the shooting, but they said it happened in a parking lot at the apartment complex. They said that people, including children, were outside when bullets flew. 

Anyone with information about the shooter is asked to call Crimestoppers at 23-CRIME.

    The Federal Aviation Administration's announcement late Wednesday comes nearly a year after the engine's manufacturer recommended the additional inspections, and a month after European regulators ordered their airlines to do the work.
