The Auburn Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect who robbed a business on Opelika Rd. Tuesday, Aug. 5.

Officers responded to the call at around 4:48 p.m. Tuesday after being informed that someone entered the business armed with a gun and demanded money from the clerk.

The suspect fled the business with an undetermined amount of cash and a cell phone.  The clerk was not injured during the incident.

The robbery was captured on video surveillance. Police say the suspect appears to be a light skinned black male between 25-35 years of age, about 6'1" and weighing about 185 lbs. He was last seen wearing a green shirt, blue jeans, a blue baseball type cap and gray shoes.

Police encourage anyone with information on the identity of the suspect or the investigation to call them at 334-501-3140, or call the anonymous tip line at 334-246-1391.
