A Nashville escapee remained jailed on more than $100,000 bond early Saturday after he was arrested at a Walmart near Skyline Hospital.
Marcquez James, 27, had been a fugitive since July 19 when he ran away from Sheriff's deputies while being moved to Nashville's downtown jail.
On Friday, Metro SWAT officers arrested James at the Dickerson Pike Walmart, where he allegedly ran inside and tried to change clothes in order to avoid capture.
James faces several charges including felony escape and evading arrest.
He is due in court Thursday.
