Second Saturday being held at Montgomery Riverfront

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

In need of something to do on Saturday? WSFA 12 News presents the Second Saturday event at the Montgomery Riverfront Park.

The event starts with the Wake Battle morning session at 8:30 a.m. and continues until 12:30 p.m. A list of the morning session is as follows:

8:30 a.m. 12 & Under Girls Division, 12 & Under Boys Division

9:30 a.m. 13-16 Girls Division, 13-16 Boys Division

10:30 p.m. Ladies Intermediate, Men's Intermediate

11:30 a.m. Wake Skate

12:30 p.m. Presentation of Awards (morning sessions)

After the morning session is completed, a break will be taken and then the after noon session will begin. The afternoon session is as follows:

1:00 p.m. Men's Advanced

2:00 p.m. Masters

3:00 p.m. Women's Open

4:00 p.m. Outlaw

5:00 p.m. Men's Open Pro

6:15 p.m. Presentation of Awards

There will also be interactive activities for kids including face painting and balloon twisting.

There will also be various food vendors on hand, and live entertainment as Ashlee K and the Hawks go on stage at 6:45 p.m.

A firework cruise will also be available aboard the Harriet II. Boarding starts at 8 p.m. and the cruise last from 8:30 p.m until 10:30 p.m. Tickets for the cruise are $25 for adults and $15 for children.

The firework display will start at 8:45 p.m.

Admission to Second Saturday is $1 and all proceeds will go towards benefiting EAT South and the Urban Farm Project. Kids 12 and under get in for free.
