PRATTVILLE, AL (WSFA) -

Prattville Baptist Hospital held a ribbon cutting on Monday to introduce 14 newly built private patient rooms specifically designed by physicians and nurses.

These medical and service rooms were built to improve patient safety, privacy and staff efficiency. The rooms will be served by a new nursing station and will be equipped with a new patient call system.

This unit, which will be called One West, took about nine months to complete and has already begun to serve patients.

"As a progressive, community-oriented hospital, Prattville Baptist is committed to serving the community in every possible way," said Ginger Henry, Prattville Baptist Hospital's Chief Executive Officer.  "As we continue to grow Prattville Baptist, these new rooms will allow us to continue our mission of putting our patients first, providing compassionate care while striving for perfection."
