BUTLER CO., AL (WSFA) -

A teenager in Butler County is being charged with robbery and attempted murder after allegedly shooting at residents and robbing them.

According to Sheriff Kenny Harden with the Butler County Sheriff's Office, 19-year-old Devoris Robinson is being charged with two counts of robbery first degree, one count of burglary first degree and one count of attempted murder.

On Friday August 8 around 2 a.m., on John Super Road just outside Greenville, Robinson allegedly approached the yard of a residence and proceeded to shoot at two individuals in the yard, striking one, then robbed both individuals.

After the first robbery, Deputies say that Robinson entered the residence and forced the residents to lay on the floor, while he robbed the residence. During this time one of the victims managed to retrieve a handgun and proceed to shoot at Robinson. Robinson ran from the residence while returning fire to the victim, who was also firing at him.

Robinson was shot twice, once by the victim and once, possibly by himself. He was arrested on Wednesday and taken to the Butler County Detention Facility with a $120,000 bond.
