SCOTTSDALE, AZ (CBS5) -

The Ice Bucket Challenge has been sweeping the country, particularly on social media with everyone from Justin Timberlake to Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians accepting the challenge to help raise awareness for ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.

Also accepting that challenge was CBS 5 News Anchor Catherine Anaya, who was called out by ALS Association Arizona chapter Executive Director Taryn Norley to join the wave of people pouring a bucket of ice water over his or her head and forwarding the challenge to someone else.

The challenge is generating awareness of the disease and helping to raise money to find a cure.
