HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - Huntsville Police responded to burglary call on the 2700 block of Lantern Walk on Saturday at approximately 6:00 a.m.

The victim stated that an unknown male walked by the porch Friday night and said something that the victim did not understand. The victim exchanged words with the suspect and walked away.

Later that night the suspect and a second unknown suspect kicked in the apartment door. The first suspect was upset about the earlier interaction and had a baseball bat in hand. Both suspects assaulted the victim but did not use the baseball bat.

The victim was able to fight off the suspects and watch them run to another apartment.
