ARAB, AL (WAFF) -
Investigators in Arab are trying to sort out the details of an overnight stabbing that sent one man to the hospital.
Arab police say there's still lots to figure out after one neighbor stabbed another neighbor.
The incident happened between two neighbors around 10 p.m. Tuesday night on Third Street Northwest.
Arab police said 33-year-old Tommy Staton came to the home of 33 year old Lee Cassidy, and that's where the altercation began.
While it's not known what caused the stabbing, police believe both men pulled knives during the fight.
Police say Staton was sent to Huntsville Hospital after he was seriously injured.
"He had a large laceration on the left part of his forearm, actually several lacerations on his left forearm," said Assistant Chief Shane Washburn. "Lee Cassidy left the scene. Marshall County later got into a pursuit with Mr. Cassidy and arrested him for some other charges outside of what this case is involving."
Staton is now recovering at home from his injuries.
Washburn says the investigation continues to see if charges will be filed.
