Reports: Former Brewton band director arrested on sex charge

BREWTON, AL (WSFA) -

A former band director at T.R. Miller High School in Brewton is accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a student.

According to a report by The Brewton Standard, Jeffrey Gainous was arrested Wednesday on a sex charge in Georgia after meeting with Brewton Police Department investigators.

According to the media reports, Gainous recently accepted a new job at Thomas County Central High in Georgia after working six years in Brewton.

According to The Brewton Standard, Brewton police say this is one charge in a larger criminal investigation against Gainous.
