Two men arrested in Decatur after possession of drugs

DECATUR, AL (WAFF) - On Aug 22 at around 9 p.m. officers of the Decatur Police Department were patrolling in the area of East Acres.

An officer noticed suspicious activity between a man standing in the street, later identified as William Marty Hood, and man in a vehicle, Joshua Kenneth Runager.

Officers were able to make contact with both men.

Investigators found that Hood was in possession of an amount of prescription medication without a valid prescription and drug paraphernalia.

Runager also had an amount of prescription medication without a valid prescription.

Both men were arrested.

Hood was placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, his bond was set at three-thousand-dollars. Runager was placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence, bond also set at three-thousand-dollars. The men were booked into the Decatur City Jail.

Both will be transferred to the Morgan County Jail.
