SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -
A brother and sister are in jail Sunday night, accused of stealing more than $1,000 in merchandise from a Shreveport retailer.
Terrence Turner, 29 and Breunica Turner, 26, both of the 1600 block of Nicholson Street, allegedly stole more than $1,300 worth of goods Saturday afternoon from a J.C. Penney store in the 7400 block of Youree Drive, police said.
Officers found out that a male and female left the store with numerous items that they had not paid for. They fled the store in a newer model, four door Fiat, heading north on Youree Drive.
Police were able to pull over the car in the 300 block of Southfield Road. Inside the car, officers found the stolen goods.
The two were charged with one count each of felony theft of goods and booked into the Shreveport City Jail.
Authorities are investigating other crimes they believe the suspects committed at the same store.
