120 Corvettes take over Talladega SuperSpeedway

TALLADEGA, AL (WSFA) -

More than 120 Chevrolet Corvettes took to the track at the Talladega SuperSpeedway Tuesday to take a lap on the 2.66 mile long course.

The vehicles were in Talladega as part of the 2014 Gulf States Region Caravan, which is on its way to Bowling Green, Kentucky for the 20th anniversary of the National Corvette Museum.

Driver of the vehicles, who represent the states of Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida took a tour of the International Motorsports Hall of Fame after their lap around the track.

Each of the vehicles was led around the track by the Chevrolet Camaro Pace Car which will be used  for the GEICO 500 Sprint Cup Series race and fred's 250 Powered by Coca-Cola Camping World Truck Series event during the weekend of October 17-19.
