MOBIS Alabama continues donation tradition to Catoma Elementary

MONTGOMERY CO., AL (WSFA) -

For the fourth straight year, MOBIS Alabama is helping students at Catoma Elementary in Montgomery.

Team members have been collecting money and school supplies for students. They also gave the school more than $10,000 in school supplies, hundreds of uniforms and 75 cases of papers for teachers.

"Maybe it is a hardship on their family to pay for their school supplies," said Brent Winter, the Human Resources manager for MOBIS. "We want to step in and do that for them. It enhances the schools education and the children education here at the school and we want to do what we can to help."

"They have been so giving," said Catoma Elementary principal Mary Markham. "They remember us every year and we are so thankful and fortunate to have them as a part of our community."

School leaders say since Catoma Elementary is a title one school, donations like these ease a heavy burden for the school, and parents.
