Fresh Thyme Farmers Market opens first Tri-State store in Oakley

OAKLEY, OH (FOX19) -

Fresh Thyme Farmers Market is opening its first Tri-State store in Oakley Wednesday.

Fresh Thyme prides itself on having a simple layout with fresh and healthy food offering meat raised without hormones, ready-to-eat meals, natural and organic bulk foods, earth-friendly cleaning supplies as well as gluten-free and dairy-free options.

"Opening our second store in Ohio--the first in Cincinnati--is an important step forward in our mission to improve the way our communities eat," Fresh Thyme CEO Chris Sherrell. "It's exciting to merge with a community that values a healthy lifestyle and farm fresh produce at affordable prices."

The grand opening ceremony starts at 7 a.m. The first 250 shoppers will receive a reusable shopping bag filled with $50 worth of groceries.

The store is located at 3321 Alamo Ave. near Target.
