DOTHAN, AL (WSFA) -

Two suspects in a string of car break-in cases are under arrest following an investigation by the Dothan Police Department. The crimes were committed in Westgate Park over the last three weeks.

Authorities say they arrested and charged Derrick Oliver and his wife Nicole Flowerdew on Tuesday at their home. A search warrant yielded evidence and identifiable information inside their home that was connected to the break-ins.

The vehicle break-ins were all similar in the fact unattended vehicles had their windows broken out and usually a purse stolen from inside of it. Police say in most cases, fraudulent use of the victim's credit cards happened immediately after the break-in.

Oliver and Flowerdew are charged with identity theft and multiple charges are expected for one or both suspects for fraudulent use of a credit card as well as unlawful breaking and entering.

The investigation is ongoing.
