ChiWeekend is a holistic weekend retreat centered around personalized, supportive instruction on the mindful movement techniques, ChiRunning® & ChiWalking®.

Asheville, NC (PRWEB) August 28, 2014

ChiLiving® will host its inaugural ChiWeekend on October 24-26, 2014 in Asheville, NC at holistic retreat center, Om Sanctuary. This active retreat, led by ChiRunning & ChiWalking founders, Katherine and Danny Dreyer, offers beginner to seasoned runners and walkers the ability to learn techniques that support a lifetime of pain-free, injury-free movement in a beautiful, serene setting.

Nestled in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains during Ashevilles peak Fall season, this educational program is delivered in a non-competitive, supportive environment. ChiWeekend participants will receive personalized and group instruction in the technique of their choice: ChiRunning, ChiWalking, or ChiWalk-Run. They will also learn ChiLiving skills and concepts that promote balanced, mindful living.

Om Sanctuarys 54-acre property includes a meditation room, wellness center, gardens and trails, providing participants ample space to relax and reflect. While the property is tucked in the mountains, Om is just a five minute drive from downtown Asheville, giving visitors easy access to restaurants, shopping, and attractions. Participants will also enjoy mountain views and the brilliant colors of Ashevilles peak Fall season as they explore the Chi techniques and philosophy.

ChiLiving has successfully hosted three week-long ChiWeek retreats in recent years.

ChiWeek exceeded my expectations and was worth every penny paid. The facility, staff and fellow participants were exceptional! I would urge anyone wanting to run or walk injury-free to investigate ChiRunning and ChiWalking products, and there is no better way to incorporate it than by attending ChiWeek. G. Davis, FL

The week was phenomenal - building new friendships with people from around the world, learning how to live a healthier and more balanced life, reconnecting with my spiritual self on a deeper (core) level, having time to reflect...It was by far one of the best things I have ever done for myself!"- J. Posgai, OH

ChiRunning and ChiWalking offer a fresh solution to common injuries and ailments experienced by many runners and walkers. Based on principles of the ancient martial art Tai Chi, these techniques focus on core strength, proper biomechanics, integrating mind and body, and emphasizing overall performance and well-being.

The Chi techniques make running and walking possible for those who have been injured or are intimidated by potential injury, who want a competitive edge, or for those who seek a spiritual component in their fitness program. ChiRunning and ChiWalking have made running and walker safer, easier, and more enjoyable for hundreds of thousands of participants.
