HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Huntsville police are investigating an early afternoon shooting on Binford Drive. Police said one woman was shot in the arm. She is expected to be okay.

Investigators spent part of the afternoon with neighbors at the apartment complex talking to anyone who may have seen or heard something.

What they said is that the woman was inside her home and walked by a window when she was shot in the arm. She is currently recovering at Huntsville Hospital.

Investigators said it is far to early to tell whether the woman was the target or if this was a random act.

Neighbors said this is nothing new, but one woman said it's the last straw.

"It's motivation for me," the woman said. "Motivation to get out and get my kids out as soon as I can, it's just motivation."

"Bullets don't have eyes and they don't have names on them," said Xzenia Allen. "You should be comfortable in your home. You should be able to sit on your porch and drink a cup of tea."

No arrests have been made at this time.
