Agreement could let LA clinics stay open even if law passed

BATON ROUGE, LA (KSLA) -

A federal judge is asking lawyers for the state of Louisiana and abortion clinics for an agreement that could apparently let clinics stay open for a while.

That's despite a restrictive abortion law that takes effect Monday.

The law requires doctors who perform abortions to have admitting privileges to a hospital within 30 miles of their clinics.

A ruling is expected tomorrow.
