BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

The two men killed in a shooting outside of a Birmingham bikers club have been identified.

Investigators say there was a shoot-out around 10 p.m. Sunday near 901 Coosa Street at the Showstoppers Motorcycle Club.

Lt. Sean Edwards said at least 40 rounds were fired.

Detectives think the incident stemmed from a verbal argument between several members of different motorcycle clubs.

Wilbert Hawkins, a 47-year-old Bessemer man, was pronounced dead at the scene. Another victim, 48-year-old Stevens Bryon Hicks of Fairfield, was taken to UAB Hospital where he later died.

Police say two others had injuries that are not life-threatening.

"There was an incident that took place on this block. Some individuals started shooting at each other and what we know from there is that's how we end up having two people to expire and we had two additional people to be shot as well," Edwards said.

So far, no suspects have been arrested.

Police are asking anyone with information about this case to call Crime Stoppers at 205-254-7777.
