TUSCALOOSA COUNTY, AL (WBRC) -

There is a new place for Tuscaloosa County residents to get license plates and tags, hunting and fishing licenses, and register their boat.

Tuesday morning, a new satellite office of the Tuscaloosa County License Department opens in Vance's new Town Hall. It's located off Tingle Tangle Road.

The new satellite license office will provide the same services as the Skyland and Northport locations.

The Vance location's hours will be 8:00 a.m. until noon and 1:00 p.m. until 4:25 p.m. during the week. The hour closure at noon is due to the Vance Town Hall closing for lunch daily.

Brown says the Vance location will not process any of the following: title problems and/or corrections, abandoned vehicle titles, surety bond for titles, court order titles, manufactured home cancellations, temporary tags, vintage vehicle tags, dealer tags, apportioned tags and business licenses.

Brown wanted to remind customers that no title applications will be processed beginning 15 minutes prior to the office closing. For the Vance office, that means that no title applications will be processed beginning at 11:45 a.m. before lunch, and beginning at 4:10 p.m. at the end of the day.
