Man guilty of running business without license goes before judge

Dan Beavers Dan Beavers
LAUDERDALE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - A Lauderdale County man who pleaded guilty to running his heating and air business without a license went before a judge Thursday.

Courthouse officials say during the status hearing, the judge denied Dan Beaver's request to have his ankle monitor removed.

Under the terms of his plea agreement, Beavers was placed under house-arrest.

He has a 12-month suspended sentence for two years and is only allowed to travel to church, his doctor, and back home.

Beavers was charged with three counts of not having a contractor's license for his business Beavers Heating and Cooling.
Beavers served as one of five members of the Lauderdale County School Board.
