LIMESTONE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

Thursday morning, narcotics investigators from Limestone and Madison County Sheriffs' Offices conducted a search warrant raid on a home in Copperfield Subdivision in east Limestone County.

The search resulted in the arrest of 48-year-old Randall Scott Smith and 26-year-old Takeea Rosetta Hicks. 

The investigation was launched after several residents from the Copperfield Subdivision complained about possible narcotics trafficking being conducted by the two suspects.

Seized during the raid were two motor vehicles, $1,575, approximately two ounces of cocaine, 16 grams of high-grade-marijuana packaged for distribution, one hallucinogenic psilocybin mushroom, along with pharmaceuticals Clonazepam, Xanax, amphetamine, Oxycodone, and paraphernalia items used for smoking, weighing and distributing narcotics.

Both were charged with trafficking cocaine, first degree possession of marijuana, two counts possession of controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

They remain in jail in lieu of $66,000 bonds each.
