Main St. in Hollywood blocked due to wreck involving train

HOLLYWOOD, AL (WAFF) -

Main Street in Hollywood will be blocked for an undetermined length of time while emergency crews tend to the scene of a wreck involving a train and a carrying railroad ties.

It happened before 6 p.m. at the intersection of Main Street at County Road 33. Officials said the truck was trying to cross the tracks when the train hit the truck.

The train has sustained some damage. Norfolk Southern is en route to help with the investigation.

Both Main and County Road 33 were initially blocked, however police re-opened County Road 33 shortly after 6:30 p.m.

No injuries were reported.
