MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Our editorial last week focusing on domestic abuse in the NFL led to the following feedback on wsfa.com and our WSFA 12 News station Facebook page…here is just a sampling:
Jason provided the following, "I am curious as to why WSFA doesn't mention Mark Fuller? A local federal judge showing no respect for the job he holds. Patterns of abuse by him are clear and yet no editorials blasting him or the folks behind the scenes who've worked to keep his job secure?"
Terassha responded with, "I love my grandma and I learned as a woman not to put my hands on my husband...unless I was willing to deal with the outcome. Bottom line she was no Tina Turner...she hit and he hit harder."
Sharon submitted, "Unfortunately there are people like Ray Rice who beat on women and people like you that feel it is OK. There is an old saying, "If you can't do the time, don't do the crime". Beating on anyone is a crime; it is called assault and battery and the NFL finally figured it out."
Lastly, Ryan adds, "I think the media blew this way out of the water. Yes he was wrong and yes he should be suspended but should he lose everything? Would Raycom fire a person for having a domestic violence case against them?"
As always, we encourage and appreciate your feedback.
