U-S- Representative Artur Davis is being treated for pneumonia at U-A-B Hospital. Davis was admitted to the hospital Wednesday night, when he was diagnosed.
His spokesman says he is scheduled to stay there for up to three days, but seems to be doing "much better." Spokesman Corey Ealons says Davis had been ill for nearly two weeks, displaying flu-like symptoms including dehydration and exhaustion. The illness kept Davis from voting on the Intelligence Reform Bill, the biggest overhaul of U-S- intelligence in a half-century, which was approved by the House on Tuesday and passed by Senate Wednesday.
