Troopers Predict 13 Will Die Over Holiday

Alabama State Troopers and other law enforcement agencies across the state will be targeting drunken drivers through the holiday weekend. The Zero Tolerance Campaign will include traffic patrols and sobriety checkpoints. It's part of the national "You Drink and Drive, You Lose" program.

The Department of Public Safety estimates that 13 people may die in traffic accidents over the New Year's holiday. If you are drinking this weekend and need a ride home, there is a number you can call to have someone take you home. It's 244-0702.
